I would like to thank everyone who voted for me, ward 6 councillor, and would like to add that last place is a win for me, and that in 4 years time, things will be different. 343 votes is pretty good considering not one sign was dropped :). I’ve learnt more in 3 months about politics then I have in a lifetime, and still haven’t come close to truly understanding politics.
I was given advice by one individual in particular. “You’re an amateur at best, and your not going to win. However, if you put your mind to it, and commit in the right direction, you’ll win in the next election”.
Again, I thank every single person that voted for me, and in 4 years time the ward 6 chair will have my name on it. Lastly I will point out, 33% voted, which was better than the last election because the other 50000 didn’t. Doesn’t matter, because at the end of the day, as a citizen of Cambridge, you have a say.
Respect and love.
